Intro

I joined a few weeks ago, so suppose I should have an intro too. I posted a thread earlier about a older coupe I'm going to look at soon. Im from northern mn and have an 87 GT. Had it for a few years and been hooked on mustangs for quite a while. I am by far not a major mechanic or anything, but for cars/auto work and most other topics I know and do what I can and work to learn and try new things all the time, sometimes a success, sometimes not as much. I do outdoors stuff and am a country person, very not into city life. I'm nothing too exciting and love it that way.

Thanks. Ive been a fan of just about every era of mustang so far, but fox won me over for a first. I can't say anything too bad about any style really, just takes time and I like them all. My next one will be a classic as a project for me. Me and my fiance rented a 09 in Florida for her spring break. I must say I loved that one too. I plan on having a collection over the years.

I prefer the Fox to any other bodystyle, but I still have a lot of love for every Mustang, yes, even the Mustang II.

That's an excellent car too. I'm looking forward to seeing some of everything on here, and been lurking and checking out some already, and they all are sweet. I'd be a happy man getting a full farm going here. Im planning on it over the years. To each their own, but for me that's all I want to have

I have seen some mustang IIs I've liked. Some late 70's and early 80's I'm kinda picky about... But overall mustangs are all pretty sweet.

My love and obsession started when a buddy got a 93 GT when we were in school, and it has been a growing obsession since then

Re: Intro

my friends dad had a 86gt t-top..a gt40 crate motor and a powerdyne blower..tuned by pauls high performance. the car made 650hp at the wheels, it went sideways at 85mph in second gear. every since then i been in love. that car changed my life. the cars clearcoat was peel'n, but he had $22k under the hood. ford shyte cost alot more back then. he had a in ground lift at his house to work on it...wtf right?

That would be a good way to fall in love with them. It would be tough seeing and feeling that and not loving it.
I'd love to have a good shop setup at home too. I have all the basics, but waiting to get much more til we build more space. I have access to a mostly full shop so I guess when the time comes for some of it I can move things there for a while. Theres just never enough space or tools

Thank ya. My buddy who painted the car suggested the style and I always loved that red. I am defiantly happy with how the look came. I am thinking of keeping a similar them for my next one too. I think it would be sweet having a classic painted similar, and have seen a few that look awesome like that too. Just as thinking. Thanks again, and hi to the other welcomes

Thank ya, and again thanks for the welcomes. I always love finding groups that can obsess about the same things I do. After looking at all this more and shoveling snow as much lately as I have been I sure can't wait for summer to get here to be working on my garage and car and fun stuff. I do have to get my sleds back together too for one of these winters. Once I get my garage set up I'll be good to work warm all year.
