New paint guard by 3m put on it's virtually invisible, look really close it's on the entire front bumper, first 18" of hood, side mirrors and both fenders, door jam, handle cup and handles 187.00 eBay 5 yr warranty through 3m withstands a 1/4" rock at 120mph

We do that a lot on new vehicles. You have to be careful with the lines when u remove the guard later down the road. Usually very visable after removal

It can't leave a line when left on I've done tons of research it's used on high end vehicles such as Aston Martin etc. It's no diff then having a stripe on your car with a vinyl decal I had a vinyl hood scoop decal on my 2001 GT for 5 years when I sold it the buyer wanted it removed I took it off and it was as if nothing was ever there in the first place the 3m is even better than a decal because it allows light to pass unlike a solid black decal. If u ever had any probs it could have been with a non factory non cured paint finish.

We've done this numerous times on Mercedes Benz while I was at the dealer... the fact is it happens. If you wait too long to remove this guard you run the risk of there being a visable line. I can drive 5 mins up the road and take a picture to give you a specific example.

It's a great add on and will do tons to save you some hardship from rocks and chips and other elements. I'm not downing the add-on just giving you realistic expectations.

Yes, We've used 3M and different companies while I was at Mercedes. It just happens as part of the body is exposed to elements and the protector isn't exposed to the same elements.

As far as time it depends on the user. If you keep your car clean with a good wax and take care of the paint then you can make it last longer and longer. If the car isn't well taken care of then it will be more evident faster. (but you won't know until you take it off)

The other thing that you are going to notice is after a wax job you will see the lines b/w the 3M and the non-3Med parts b/c the wax residue builds up there. Just clean the lines over and over and it should disappear.

I love the color of your car BTW.

Hey fiend. Can it be done to the whole bumper. I'm thinking about just pulling the bumper and doing it off the car.

Mods so far purchased not installed, Boss 302 intake and fuel lines, Boss 302 stabilizer bar, Steeda CAI, Ford Racing polished 4.10 gears. JLT oil separator, Mods purchased and installed weather tech 2011 front floor liners, SCT tuned for 93 octane, 3m paint guard deluxe kit, 3m door sill protect kit, 3m door handle and cup protectors, 2011 5.0 weather/uv car cover, mustang hood cowl spears, SLP loud mouth axle back exhaust, solar guard HP smoked window film, LO jack theft protection, true vue navigation crystal screen guard. I don't think there's anything else I want to do to the car the latest 5.0 magazine had my exact upgrades and the car ran over 460 to the wheels I may do the long tube header and off road H but I'm uncertain.

Bolt ons! Went through 4 engines on that car all replaced by ford that's how hard I rode it the key to warranteed replacements is documentation u need proof of maintenance and care of your vehicle or you'll get nothing trust me on this
