Ive been a member of mustang evolution for about six months but just made this new account because I got my first stang about 2 weeks ago. It's a black 07 GT premium with black leather interior and auto transmission(was a better deal than the manual) and I love it so much it's like a child. Right now it's stock but eventually I will put a lot of money into it starting with exhaust first. I go on this on my phone everyday during school and I just can't get enough of mustangs!
Hey a little off topic. I'm heading down to Florida for vacation with the family(fort lauderdale area) . Saw a couple 87-89 stangs down there to look at . Any tips you guys can give me on what to look for in Florida cars. I'm from Toronto Canada so our issues are rot, rot, and lots of rot. Any tips would be much appreciated .
So it's the same as up in Toronto ,Canada . Up here because of the salt in the winter it just eats away at the under body to the point were the strut towers will be completely rotted out. And with experience I don't want another rotstang. Thx for the reply .
We have been looking for a donor body car for my step dads 85 for over 6 months. Keep finding rust in the same spot. If the cars sat by the water for any amount of time there is usually serious corrosion too
Wow definitely an eye opener, I would never had thought the salt water would cause that much damage. Were are the usual spots were they rust down there?
Everyone we have looked at has a hole rusted out behind the drivers side tower towards the cabin. Either in the frame or quarter panel. Just check over what your looking at very well
