New to the forum

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I currently own a black 2001 Bullitt, with just a couple simple mods. I just installed some H&R race springs and polyurethane isolators and other than a MAC cold air kit, my car is virtually stock with only 13k miles on her. My next mod will be MM camber/castor plates and wider Bullitt replica rims from American muscle, to fill the fender wells. I'm using a iPhone, and as soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will.

Nice Bullitt...don't see too many black ones around in near stock condition.

Keep in mind pretty much all of the aftermarket anthracite bullits are a different shade of grey than your stock wheels. Just something to keep in mind if you were thinking about just replacing the rears for wider ones.

Thanks for the heads up. I was probably going to switch all four out, but if I go the route of just changing the rears, I will just paint them to match the stockers.

Bullitts are pretty much stock gt's with underdrive pullies right?

No, the first re-release of the bullit included a slightly different intake claimed to net 5 more hp.

They are basically a Gt, with under drive pullies, different aluminum intake manifold and twin throttle bodies, freer flowing exhaust, cobra brakes, Tokiko shocks and different/stiffer springs, chassis brace from the convertibles, and I think I covered most of the differences power and handling wise. The rest of the differences are cosmetic. Oh, and it came with the tremek 3650 5 speed, with no automatic option.

I knew they were all manuals but didn't realize they came with suspension and power mods. I also knew about the cosmetic differences. They only came in that special bullitt only highland green along with the black and a blue color right?

Correct, most 2001 Bullitts are highland green, then black, and the blue Bullitts are the rarest.

I also swear they have a different sound to them but that might just come from the freer flowing exhaust. I'm not talking on the level of difference between a sohc and dohc but a difference none the less.

Ford spent a considerable amount of time tuning the exhaust to sound like the 68 GT 390 v8 like in the Bullitt movie. But it's mainly just the different exhaust creating that difference.
