First Mustang

Hello All!!!

I wanted to take a breif minute to introduce myself and my mustang. My name is John however I am called "Country" by friends and family. I have always been a consumer of gas drinking trucks however during this economic times I have decided to take a different route. Two days ago after depleting my gas tank in my 1994 F150 supercab 4x4 I decided i have had enough. So i decided to look for a mustang which would offer performance and a gas sipping factor that i am looking for. not long after my search i found a 1996 Mustang V6/5speed after making the trade i feel exstatic. While though it's not perfect after seeing the distance 20 dollars in gas will take me plus the added plus of having a 5 speed i am one happy camper. anyways sorry for the book but wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to gaining knowledge on v6 upgrades and keeping the mustang in fine working shape.

Re: First Mustang

Nice man. I think of a V6 as a Mustang with training wheels myself BUT it's great to see someone who appreciates the Ford brand & Mustang model.

Re: First Mustang

I can Appreciate a V8 for what it is. However considering i do 90% of my driving on the highway and only 10% city a V6 delivers my needs and saves a considerable amount of gas in the process. Which frees up cash to do some upgrades. I am not looking to get V8 hp/Tq numbers. I just want it to be a dependable daily driver with a little pep. Like i said in my first post i am just enjoying the 5speed. It's a dying breed you hardly ever hear of someone wanting to drive a standard in this day and age.

Hey man welcome. And consider yourself lucky. My stang is a 4-cyl. Doesn't mean I don't love her though. Love her just as much as someone would love there Shelby. I just won't pop the hood if I ever go to a meet. Haha
