Re: New here, saying "Hi"

The one reason I bought an already moded mustang was because I knew my wife wouldn't let me bbuy any mods once I got a new stang because it took me a year to talk her into letting me buy a newer stang in the first place , I had a 98gt before I got my 06gt.

Wives like houses, jewelry, and trips - the holy trinity.

Funny, I don't think 123456 as Lottery numbers work well at all. What will be messed up is,that I don't play that and next week those numbers come up as the winning numbers, then I will kick my own @$$ myself. LOL.[COLOR="Silver"]

New here and just have a question I have a mustang 3.9l 5 speed it's an 04 and I am hoping to soup it up pretty good. She's sharp. Given I don't know the first thing about cars I need some help. I need to know what would be best to do as far as exhaust and horsepower. Please any feedback would be great

Guys, riddle me this, which creates more torque, shorty headers, or long tube headers.....taking into account that both will have performance exhaust and intake....any ideas cause I can't find much info to answer my question....

Oh, and I should have thrown this one in too. X pipe vs h pipe, is there a noticeable difference when it come to torque or HP.......

Im no expert, but i believe long tube headers are more of a race setup though im sure you'll almost always have some kind of clearance issue..they can produce more hp and tq but usually at higher rpm...
As far as H vs X pipe I have an h-pipe and have heard its more of a sound then a hp thing, but depending on your setup Its prob only a few hp...but if you want every extra hp you can get x-pipe!..

And I also believe short tube headers make a little more tq a lower rpm...of course every eng is different and respods to mods in different ways...

I know it's impossible to convey tone online, but I'm just joking. Don't worry about it! Haha

Do short tube headers provide more torque at low RPM because of helpful backpressure?

Hi, TwoSeven!

No big deal, glad you found your answer. At this point I'll take all the info I can get as well.
