new to the stang world!

This is my new to me 1991 gt. Pretty stock. Just a CAI and sct 4 eliminator chip. 3" Scavenger x pipe, super 40 flows and tailpipes r in the mail. Wanna get rid of the air pump. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome, that's a beautiful stang. Not crazy about the 10 hole stockers. If you want to get rid of the smog pump you can take it out and bypass it with a shorter belt.

Re: new to the stang world!

A little less drag on the engine and you save a few pounds.

My first GT, when I took the cats off would backfire really loud when I'd downshift hard and decelerate. My local expert said was the air pump, bypassed it and it never happened again
