Back after 3 years.....

I've been gone for over 3 years and made it back. I've been working off and on with the Thunderbird Sport I found at a local wrecking yard. I replaced all body parts that are bolted on,suspension, GT40-P engine with ported heads, 1.7 roller rockers, Cobra intake and more. The car has been great, and actually surprises quite a few people. Glad to be back and see what's happening.

Re: Back after 3 years.....

Thanks a lot. The Sport has come a long way since I found her at the boneyard. Still have a ways to go, but the biggest work is done....well, as if we're ever really "done".

Yep, that's mine. I am still working on the old girl. I'm swapping intakes now. I pulled the upper and everything else off the top. Tomorrow morning I'll finish it up. The car is a blast to drive.

I bought a Cobra intake and after a couple of weeks, no trace of it, so, I bought an original, new, F3 Cobra intake assembly still in the box as a replacement. Well, I bought that last night, and then, today (this morning), the other intake shows up.LOL, So, it's going on the car tomorrow. The F3 intake, original Cobra stuff, not the Ford racing junk, will stay ion the box and be packed away. I sold my Trick Flow Street Heat intake to fund it. I liked it, but it just wasn't "right". I'll post a few pics soon.

Thanks for the "welcome back" everyone.

Re: Back after 3 years.....

Only thing I'd change is the color (though it looks better than the before), but other than that, bad *** car man.

Re: Back after 3 years.....

The color.....well....it stays. It's a Dupont color although it wasn't put on factory vehicles. It's different than anyone elses, not too offensive, and it looks really nice when the sun hits the metal flake. It also keeps a factory look without being factory much at all. It has the 2004 Bullitt gas lid (body color), 2004 Mach 1 chin spoiler, and a lot of other small, subtle mods. I want it to be subtle....at least til I start it, then the surprise is spoiled. LOL. The cam has a great idle and she makes noise.

Oh, this may need to be moved to introductions. I posted in the wrong spot.

Personally I love the color, has a retro feel. If you were not looking for subtle I'd say a bigger sized black stripe with a very thin strip of body color down the center of the stripe would look very cool.

Re: Back after 3 years.....

Thanks again guys. I JUST finished installing an NOS Cobra intake on today. The Trick Flow is off to a new home. Going for a different "thing" under the hood. It'll take some time to get done, but I'm patient. LOL.
