No, don't make it often. My wife's grandfather lives in Seattle. We took the ferry to Victoria a few years ago.

That's a shame. Ah well, lots of beautiful places in the world for driving.

I've never been, but I have friends down that way. And Idaho too. I plan on making a trip down, probably next summer, when the Stang is all happy to go (which it is now, but I want to have my bits in place) so I'll get to check out some of those roads. Though it escapes me right now, my buddy in Boise, Idaho keeps recommending this one pass in particular...

I'm a big, huge, massive fan of long haul road trips. Now, I have almost the perfect car for it... though, and let's be honest, my 4.0L drinks gas pretty good as it is.

Not sure of the pass around Boise however there is an absolutely gorgeous pass just north of us in Montana (Red Lodge) to be exact called the Beartooth pass. Stunning.

How's the altitude?

I ask because I live here at pretty much sea level where the oxygen is thick and the motors run happy. Of the 60,000 Km on my 06 V6, all of them have been done here at low altitudes.

We live at 43,000 feet. Beartooth is pushing 10,900 feet. Your ECM on your engine should compensate.

Oops. We don't live at 43,000 feet. 4,300 is more "down to earth"......

I was going to say... That's pretty darn high. If I'm not mistaken we're talking Mt Everest high...
