New 06 V6 Owner

Hello,

My name is Matthew. I just purchased an 06 V6 and I just wanted to say hi.

I have plans and they include, but aren't limited to; cold air intake, high flow cat, and louvers. I've been looking at americanmuscle.com and hope to have my first goodies in the mail in a couple weeks.

My personal picture and avatar are both of my car, stock though she sits.

Anyway, just a quick hello to say hi.

Here yah go.

Gonna place my louvres order next week. I plan to do a billet grill and deck lid inset, black tint on the rear glass. All aesthetics to start.

Then, first bolt-on; CAI.

Can anyone give me any info regarding painting my wheels/having them painted?

In case it's not obvious, my goal is to black out and Bullitt my 'Stang.

When I was younger I owned an F Body. It was an 88 GT.

I'd just say get different wheels. Those are terrible stocker wheels.

Once I have the money aside, I'd like to look at torqthrusts. Until then, I was thinking about having the stock wheels painted. I'd still like any info anyone might have on or about that.

Thanks, everyone!

This looks like a great community.

I'm gonna look at plastic dipping. Though my hunch is that it's not gonna be THAT much cheaper an alternative.

Thanks Dan,

It's been a while since I've been able to spend any time on my car. Now, though, that's about to change.

I really appreciate the welcome. Feel free to look me up on Facebook.

I'm always motivated to meet new people.

That is a beautiful ride, sir.

The vision for mine, outwardly, will be; removing all badges, adding louvres a billet grill and decklid inset, black tint on the rear glass and, while I'm not sure about the wheels yet (I'm thinking Torq-Thrust) I'm pretty sure in the short term I will either plastidip the stockers or find a nice set of blacked out steelies (I love the look).

Under the hood, so far, I've only settled on a BBK CAI and high flow cat.

I may have said this before. I'm probably rambling.

I'd love to see some of the members cars. Feel free to post your pics in this thread. In fact, please do?

I really appreciate it. I've put a lot of $ & time into making my ride how I wanted it. Badgeless is a win in my book. If I where you I'd save your $ & buy a tuner w/a CAI. here's some pics for you since you asked so nicely. I even added a pic of when I first got it. :nice:

I could look for myself, but I'll just ask; how much, if you don't mind my asking?

I'd like that on my possible wheel choice list.

Also, having never done a hood swap, is it a pretty simple bolt-on?

I don't see it being hard. Mine was all shop install. Takin the hood off probably requires atleast 2 people. There only like 4 bolts. I got my wheels on sale apparently lol 400$

I've passed my 50 post count. How do I go about getting ahold of a discount code of my own for AM products?

Soon. So soon...

Louvers first.
