Talking newb girl

Hello everyone! I'm new to the site and just thought I would drop a little note saying HELLO TO ALL THE MUSTANG FANATICS OUT THERE!! I drive an '05 sating silver 'stang with custom painted charcoal rally stripes, and hood scoop. I plan on getting some new wheels for it a.s.a.p. from American Racing. I really want the 20's, but my dad keeps saying the 18's would be a better choice, b/c of handling, better feel (don't feel every groove in the road), and they're not as easy to pop. What do u guys think?

Re: newb girl

welcome to ME...

I have run both 18's and 20's on my 05 and to be honest there really wasnt a huge difference between the two as far as typical handling for normal driving...

Tires for 20's are a hell of a lot more expensive though...

lol those other comments are funnyand again thanks for the invite, and i'll keep a heads up on the crudeness. Since I'm sure most of it is crude humor, or whatever they're meaning it to be. But so far I am enjoying it here, nice to talk to other people who have a mustang and are as picky about their's as I am.

hey hey and welcome. I love my 20's and they are so sexy on the S197's. Is your mustang a V6 or GT? Planning any other mods besides the wheels?

I agree...everything on the 05+ just seems so over sized that if you use 17's or 18's, they end up looking tiny.

After checking out her album, it appears to be a V6...

I would Do 19's... happy medium between the two and they wont weigh as much as 20's, but they'd still look real nice

that's exactly what I was thinking, but my dad is so hard-headed he won't listen. I saw a pic of a mustang with the wheels that I want on it and they were 18's...I didn't like em.

And yes mine is a v6...and I've gotten a lot of bashing for it on a group I'm in on facebook. People on there just seem to think that v6's are a waste of money and Ford should have never even built them. You can just imagine how I replied to that...

And yes I do want to do much more to it, it's the money that keeps me from doing it at this moment. Will probably have to wait till I'm out of college to get much else done.

Re: newb girl

bahahahaha this dude just messaged me on facebook and asked if i really owned that gt500?.......wow....he obviously knows squat about mustangs...

and about the 19's...I don't think the wheel I want is available in that size, just 17's, 18's or 20's. I wish they were, cause i do think that would be an even balance b/t the 2 that would look just as good as the 20's but not as small as the 18's.

they r? oh boy. lol why r they more than the 20's?? and nice 'stang by the way, like the louvers, I want some fog lamps as well with a billett grill, I have the option of getting a gt grill for next to nothing. a friend of my dad's was actually going to sell us his gt front and rear bumpers and grill for 350. which is what about one of those pieces would cost.

the car above is either getting a shelby kr500 front end or a smooth billet grill top/bottom without foglights.

Welcome to the site. You won't see much V6 hating here, as this site started as a V6 only site. Nice stang.

Re: newb girl

the 2005+ mustangs come stock with a taller side wall tire than the previous years so you will have more tire than the 94-04 models did on an 18 inch rim (well the same amount) so 20s are not a big deal.
