I have a saved search on ebay for used 2005-2009 mustangs and it alerts me when anything new pops up. I've saved a ton of money buying slightly used stuff over buying brand new. You can find just about anything you could possibly want on there. You could obviously do a similar search for 99-04 stangs or just bullitts alone. I've also scoured craigslist a lot and have found some good stuff on there too. You''d be surprised at how often people change their setups and want to just get a few bucks back from their previous setup.

Well also nice to hear of someone who worked for their mustang instead of their parents just buying them a 30K car.

It gets me mad when parents do that to kids. Just soils them. I'm glad to hear OP worked for his Bullit. I'm 19 and I bought myself an '01 a '66 and a '97 all V6's with hard work

Bullitts are special edition mustangs made in limited quantities in 01 and 08 I believe. They are tributes to Steve Mqueen in the Movie Bullitt. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Their basically lightly modified GT's

They're a GT with retro gauges, shifter, seats, and the base Mustang bumpers with a GT drive train. The Bullitt also has a Bullitt specific intake on the new edge Mustangs that has some more power. The S197 Mustang also has a different brushed aluminum dash on it than a normal GT.

The '01 is also lowered slightly with Cobra brakes and subframe connectors

Here is the breakdown of Bullitt specific parts.

The funniest thing you might be surprised to know, is that the Bullitt received the V6 rear sway bar to reduce oversteer from the extra power due to the modifications. I'm thinking ford was expecting more impressive HP gains.

01, 08 and 09. So you could say that the name "Bullitt" is more rare than Cobra or Shelby... I may only be 18 in High School but i'm going to try to keep this forever. They only made 5582 Bullitts in 2001, i've got #5394

Oh, and the awesome color Dark Highland Green!

Yup, NE GTs have 260 horsepower and 302 pounds of torque, Bullitts have 270 horsepower (i believe) and 315 pounds of torque.

And a retuned exhaust from the factory. Sounds pretty good for being factory.
