Hey everybody

Hello guys and gals,

My name is Robert and I'm from Charlotte, NC. I just traded in my 2011 GTI for a new 5.0 Mustang. This is another car on my bucket list (I'm 28). I have many more to go but plan to fully enjoy this thing until it is time to part ways. I average a new car every two years but drive too many miles to lease.

Already purchased and installed a boss 302 shifter w/ boot from AM, also got a leather kit from Roush and installed that. Ordered some GT500 axle-backs. It's only been 2 weeks as of today July 1st. Many more mods to come and we will see how long the fun lasts.

My family has always owned fords and I really do like the products they have been putting out recently so I decided to pull the trigger. I loved my GTI, but anything above 300ft lbs of torque and you are quickly replacing the clutch and the turbo, plus its wrong wheel drive.

Hope to learn a few things from everyone. I am mainly a lurker than a poster. I do have a lot of knowledge in paint correction so if anyone around me needs any work I can help.

Sort of too many random things posted in here but felt the need to introduce myself.

I'll get some pics up later today. I'm going to clay and Zaino my car up even though the weather has been terrible. Gotta protect it in the long run.

Well I'm not going to go through the trouble today with the claybar and the 10 coats of Zaino. Just going to take it easy considering its going to rain every day for the rest of this week.

Here's some pics of my old cars and my new one

2001.5 Passat 1.8T

2011 GTI 2.0T

2014 Mustang GT 5.0

I'll do a photoshoot sometime before the end of the summer. Hope to see a couple of you guys around.

I'm near the UNCC area. East Charlotte I guess. It's not the best place but I've lived near worse. I work in the South Charlotte area so I drive a ton. You?

The mint hill area 10 min from the speed way. Pretty much just in city limits.

Yep you are just south of me. I am just off exit 39. You don't happen to know the guy selling the Red 2008 Mustang GT with 50k on it in Mint Hill do ya? I was trying to trade him wheels and give him cash but he was way overheated even talking about it.

Thanks, That car was my first manual. It was a fun little car and probably the last generation GTI that is actually made in Germany. It was time to part ways when I started doing research about the new Mustangs.
