From AWD to RWD...

Hey all! I typically don't do these "newbie intro" posts with the other forums I belong to, but the crowd here seems much warmer and more inviting so I figured I might as well. I just traded in my '12 STI for a '14 GT and I'm as giggidy as a little school girl. The STI was heavily modded and turning good numbers but the feeling of instant power from the Coyote is intoxicating so I had to make the switch. This is my first V8 and my first RWD so it should be a fun experience. No doubt the Subie will be missed but I'm sure the 'Stang will fill that void nicely.

The rough part now is the waiting. I snagged one that was on dealer order but it has yet to arrive. The build date was 6/20 so I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones that has the car arrive in a couple weeks from then.

Anywho, that's about it. I've already picked up a ton of knowledge from here so I thought I'd say hey and thanks and hopefully have the opportunity to give a little info back in the future.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Can't wait to get the car and start throwing some pics around.

'Til then, here's a quick shot of the STI before I changed the intake and a few other things in preparation for e85.

When all was said and done, it was just a bit over 400whp and turned 11.7's. I'm quite confident it would've done better with a driver mod.

Unfortunately, no. I haven't even seen the GT yet...lol. I'm really hoping it's delivered this week so I can snap a few pics.

The Subie was basically bone stock on the exterior so it had a bit of a sleeper look. Well, as much of a sleeper it can be with a giant hood scoop.

I'd love to see a Whipple in its future but at this point, I'll just be happy to take delivery of the car.
