Newb from Indiana

My name is Isaiah. I am 29 and from Winchester, Indiana, about 25 miles east of Muncie on the Indiana - Ohio border.

I am an IT consultant / network administrator.

In May, I ordered a new Oxford White 2014 Mustang V6 Premium with a glass roof, black leather, Mustang Club of America package with the MT82 6 spd. I kept the standard 2.73 rear gear because I already have race cars and this is just meant to be a fun DD. I plan on doing a full exhaust, CAI, tune and maybe a drive-shaft and a 100 shot of N2O later if I decide to get serious. Should be here in a few weeks.

I love to ride ATV's and bikes. I have a 99 Honda 400EX with a 12.5:1 416cc piston, FCR carb, cam, suspension, plastic, everything really. Also I have a 2008 KFX450R with intake/exhaust/pc5 and stg 2 Hotcams. Finally I have my motorcycle/dirt bike, a 2009 Yamaha WR250R, 65 MPGs of go anywhere awesomeness.

I am a newb to Fords and never owned a Mustang, but have raced against several, beat most of them, lost to a few also. I am really looking forward to picking up my white stallion and learning more about these cars.

As for my previously mentioned race cars, I also own a 99 Z28 and a 93 Talon TSI AWD. Neither stock, both fast and fun.

The specs on my Slomaro -
TSP MS3 cam
TFS valve springs
TSP 7.4 hardened pushrods
LS2 timing chain - ASP underdrive pulley
LPE 160 thermostat
LPE high volume oil pump
LS6 intake
coated pacesetter header
TSP offroad Y pipe
TSP rumbler catback
TNT twister series nitrous (150 shot)
SLP line lock
MAC girdle
Racetronix 255 with rewire
LS6 master cylinder
LS6 slave cylinder
Level 5 - T56 *currently being built by RPM Transmissions*
Pro5.0 shifter with TNA short stick
Spec Stage 3 clutch
SFI Flywheel
Eibach sportline springs
Car weighs 3,420 Lbs with full tank of fuel and no driver.
Still running the stock 10 bolt with 3.42 gears.

The Slomaro has ran a best of 11.4 @ 129 on a 150 shot and 12.8 @ 115 on motor all while on everyday street tires - Yokohama AVS ES100's in size 275/40/17.

For reference on how much babying/ how little traction the car gets off the line, I run the 1/8th in 7.7 @ 102 Mph on 150 shot. The car is very traction limited up to 4th gear on spray. I prefer roll racing, 50 - 150.

Here is a 4th gear roll on, on motor 50 - 140 MPH. Don't mind the dash lights, car was still being tuned, really starts pulling around 4,800 rpm in this video. Rev limiter is set at 6,800 RPM.

The 93 Talon TSi specs -
16G Evo III turbo
Hallman Pro Boost Controller (set at 17 PSI)
Evo 8 Pistons/Rods
Evo 8 Injectors 560cc
Red Poly Engine Mounts
2g MAF
DSMLink Lite
A/C removed
P/S removed
2 1/2 Exhaust with Apexi N1 muffler. Universal glasspack as well to quiet it down some.
AEM UEGO Wideband

I am building a new engine for this but haven't decided on what to do with this car.

Any questions or comments are much appreciated.

Pictures of the Slomrao and Talon ... as requested.

Slomaro

Finally a picture of something that many of you may be used to seeing .. Tail lights of an F-body ..

Talon - nothing special.

Some of the other toys ...
2009 Yamaha WR250R, old 87 Honda TRX250R (gone) and finally the 2008 KFX450R

The black Dodge Avenger with the hood up in the background has been my DD since I bought it when I was 16.

13 years later it is still running and a great driving car but will soon be replaced with the 2014 Mustang... Just a few more weeks, I hope..

I ordered the car the last week of May. The dealership hasn't really said much besides that it was being built over a month ago, still no word on an actual arrival date. Do they usually take 8+ weeks to be built and delivered?

Ooh, love that Talon. What power goals are you shooting for with your mods? Pump or e85?

I am just going to copy/paste this from another thread about my Talon.

The TSI is currently down after I let a friend drive it and he blew the engine at 150 Mph and kept down shifting the car trying to figure out why it had lost power. That engine was the original 7 bolt that came in the car. I got tired of running the stock 7.8:1 compression and installed some EVO 8 pistons and rods and the 272 cams and apparently didn't have the tune correct for extended WOT. Looking through the logs in DSM Link, the air fuel ratio had reached 17.3:1 in 4th and 5th gear. So the car leaned out big time (should have been around 12.3), the pistons swelled and basically from the constant downshifting from 150, bent the rods and ruined the block. So now I have a 6 bolt block, Eagle rods, 9:1 Mahle pistons and knife-edged crank. I built the engine to take 800awhp with my goal at the time of 400 awhp on low boost with a larger turbo (likely Holset HX35) and 500 awhp on high boost with maybe 550 - 600awhp on full kill mode if I ever switched to E85.

So, the car will likely end up running on 93 octane as the E85 around here is very hit or miss with its quality.

As of right now, I don't know what I want to do with the car. If I keep it, for now I just want a quick/fun all weather street car. So the goal with the car is currently 300+awhp/300+awtq which should be very easily accomplished with my setup. I never ran the car at the strip with the original engine but it felt a bit quicker than a tuned Evo MR. It would spin all four tires once boost hit all through first and a bit into second. So I would guess it was putting down over 280 at the wheels.

They are very fun/under rated cars, it's to bad most people that own them are complete tards about how to make them go fast and trash them then part them out or sell them, I guess that could be me at this point though
