Smile New 2013 Performance Pack. First Stang.

Longtime fan of the mustangs. I just bought a 2013 mustang v6 manual with the performance package. Already put a sts, intake, tune and rear lca's. Took it to test n tune and ran a 13.9 stock and with modifications ran a 13.33. The intent of this car was to have a daily driver that had a little go and looked nice. The fast car in my garage is a IS300 with a 2jzgte swap that runs a 10.9.

I'll post pictures later.

I switch between 93 Octane Bama Race and Hybrid tune. My best was with the Hybrid tune. When I road race I get better times with the Race tune as the power is better up top and i rarely go under 5k rpm. My red line is set to 7,600.

I think I could do better if I had a better clutch, I have to ease out on the stock clutch just perfect to get the times but if I screw that up its all over and my times suffers greatly.

Wow I didn't know it would redline that high. Have you ever gotten to 7600?

My AM tune came with a 7500 redline. I then asked them to bump it to 7600 just for shifting room.

The motor is good up to 8k spec wise according to my friend who works at the ford technical engineering department. However past 7.5k you really do not get anything out of the motor unless you went with 4.10 gears and wanted to stay in 3rd gear at the end of the 1/4 mile.

After doing a lot of math and calculations when I upgrade to 3.73 gears (currently 3.31, courtesy of the performance pack) I will be doing better in the 1/4 mile. Hoping for 2 tenths (its a stretch I know) but because my redline is 7.6k (only need 7.4k) I can finish the 1/4 mile in third gear and now have to shift to 4th.

If I ever get around to procharging it I may put my 3.31 back in lol.

Our 3.7's easily run low low 13's 1/4 mile with a handful of mods , all n/a. That's one heck DD I would say. Lol.
