Gotcha... I do have a question does anyone have a picture of a base GT 6 speed shifter? I am deployed and know my cars previous owner had done some work to it... It feels like its been so long since I've drove it.. I need to look when I get back shifter might have already been upgraded.. it just doesn't seem as low (short) as the MGW one..

Ok, so I guess it has been changed... It's definitely not like that... Maybe they changed it to another type other than MGW.. Is there a lot of aftermarket shifters out there?

You can change the knob without changing the shifter. You may just have an aftermarket knob
