New here but not to my Pony! ;-)

I've had my 87 GT for about 10 years now, but she got banged up. I'm currently working to get her back up and on the road! Looks like this is a good place to find the help and info I need!

Thanks! It's gonna be awesome fixin her back up, but the body work is daunting. It's about the only thing I'm a little unsure of.

The way I learned how to do body work was on an 88 I found that had been in an accident. Wasn't too bad but was lots of tedious work. Patience and you'll be fine

I'm mostly worried about the under the hood. The firewall on the drivers side is pretty banged up and I'm not real sure what to do about it. Plus I'm on a pretty tight budget.

Just have patience and do what you can. I did a lot of cutting and welding lol. What I did because I was on a very tight budget I asked a local shop if I helped them clean up and stuff if I could use some of their tools and space when they weren't busy. They helped as much as they could and really taught me a lot.

My mom's a welder, and I'm hoping she'll help me fine tune. Lol fingers crossed, she comes together nicely.

Frame machine at a body shop would straighten that out.

I'm kinda new to my area, and I'm not real sure where to find a good body shop. Doesn't seem to be a lot of people that are into fixin up cars around. Maybe I'm just not lookin in the right places.

Any big body shop should have a frame machine. But throw an ad out on here or locally and see who does bodywork and would be willing to show you how. I'm too far away but have all the right connections here.
