New to me '05 GT

After years with my previous vehicle, I recently decided it was time to step it up a notch and make a move to something that will hold it's value better. So I bit the bullet and found an '05 black GT 5MT with all the goodies and relatively low miles for the year at 93,137. Best of all, everything seems untouched and well maintained. There is no sign that it even had an aftermarket intake. Most of it's life was spent in Texas and other southern states so there is no rust to be found.

It's been just over a week now that I've been driving the car and I'm more than happy with my decision and have enjoyed every mile. Now I know what I've been missing!

Here's a few shots. Nothing special, just stock; but all things have to start from somewhere.

Thanks, though I think both the New Edge and the S197 have their own discernible qualities. I like a New Edge GT done up the right way and had considered one instead of the '05 but the new chassis and 300 HP was the deciding factor for me. I'd love a new '12-'14 though with even more power and looks than my '05 lol

Learning from my last build, I want to take care of the suspension first/power later so I'm starting with lowering springs (buying a set of H+R Sports from HARD2GT) and need to do some research to figure out a what shocks/struts to use.

So in a rough order I'd say this:

Suspension
Sway bars
Strut Tower Bar(s)
Poly bushings here and there
CAI/Tune
Probably just axlebacks

I'm not looking for much power out of it, at least not yet. So I would be happy with a bump into the 350HP range and it seems like the 3v responds well to just the CAI/tune/exhaust so maybe that's close enough for me at this time.

I'm certainly open to suggestions though, like which brands to stay away from or steer towards and effective ways to add power/handling without blowing budgets.

I would like one down the road but compared to my Z31 the throw is MUCH shorter so it doesn't bother me at all yet haha

Just to give you an idea:
