Nice car!!! I'm from NorCal also. Specifically Sacramento, but I'm going to school in Moraga right now.

---------- Post added at 11:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:11 PM ----------

Looks like your profile says your in Tracy, since I'm in Moraga and live in Sac I drive through Tracy about every 3 weeks when I go home for the weekend.

Yea I've been to Sac raceway 2 times to race, but I've been there countless other times for other events.
And the next time I'm passing through will be either the Monday or Tuesday thanks giving week.

Best was a 14.29 with slow shifting and a terrible launch (2.35 60'). That was 3 days after I got the car and have only been driving stick for those 3 days. I think I can do better now with my 285 summer tires out back, my MGW shifter with my 91 race tune, and my o/r exhaust. But just haven't had the money to spend on entrance few along with the gas lately.

I think I could manage that if I know some others going. I usually just went with my friend and his 69 firebird. But there are only 2 more Wednesday night drags left before the season ends.
And if all works out well at the end of next summer I may be getting cams and 4.10 gears. Still on the fence about it though, but it should put me at low 13s with good tires it does happen.

That's an awesome group. I don't really have other car people to hang out with that often so I usually just go solo to most events.

---------- Post added at 11:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:51 PM ----------

Oh I also do car shows

Nice, I've been to 3 shows. Won 2nd in my class (class out of the 4 Bullitts at the show lol) at my first show. All 3 I went to were with another guy from the forum. His username is Terminator, he has been winning a good amount of shows. And my last show I got my dad to enter the Corvette.

Yea me too. I've been to the strip 2 times, autocrossed 2 times and have been to 3 shows..... I'm actually going to turn the Bullitt into a show car after college. Here's a sneak peek of what I want it to look like, was all done with Photoshop (someone else did it, I suck at PS).
There are a good amount of shows in Sac so if you ever want to do some just let me know. Terminator does a lot of shows also.

Well I'm beat and have early classes tomorrow so I'm going to hit the sack now.

Seems like you are already enjoying the forum.

Just so you guys know, any form of street racing is not allowed on this forum. So i would suggest keep it on the DL in the PM.

That's good though! I haven't raced on the streets in awhile lol. Can't risk losing my license when I need to for work 👍

It's a seasonal thing and idk if he's bringin a z3 to a dirt track lol it's old school redneck races but awesome people and hella fun! The Oakland speedway is probably more what you're talking about haha that's where my bud takes his cobra.

Oh no I'm not talking about 7th lol. But I've taken my Audi tt in the dirt to have some fun and caught a respectable 3-4 inches of air lol

Wait there's a speedway nearby? I thought the closest was Sonoma? I stand corrected, carry on.

We like to autocross in Marina, at the airport, which is right near Monterey. If you're interested I can give you a link to the website. Soccerluvr came to an autocross with us in October. It's a lot of fun.
