Reintroduction from Pittsburgh

Hello everybody. I'm Michael. I'm not new (well, not exactly). I had joined back in 2008, but after 3 or 4 posts, I disappeared (I don't know why). I'm back now though, and boy have things changed.

When I was last on here, I had my first car, my 1966 Mustang, a 1998 Mustang, and a 1959 Edsel. Now, still have the 1966 officially off the road for restoration, the 1998 was rolled and total led by my younger brother, and my spiteful father scrapped my beloved Edsel (Eddie) for $75. Of course all of this means I needed a new daily driver... so I now have a Sonic Blue 2005 Mustang. And I love it.

At the time I was also in high school. I'm now done with college, and I'm job hunting for a job in my field... Automotive Restoration.

So I hope to be much more active than I have been, especially as I mod the 05 and restore the 66.

Midnight, I didn't even remember having an account. lol I found myself on here looking for a plenum cover for my 2005 (it's a V6), went to sign up for a new account, tried the name I always use on Mustang forums, and it said there was already a member with that name. So i tried one of the 4 passwords I used to always use, and it said thank you for logging in.

Thanks for the warm welcome back. Ok, here is a photo of each car. I need to take new pictures of the 2005 as I've done a bit of work to it, and the '66 Mustang is now in pieces. The one thing I am very glad of is the 2005 has a dealer installed remote start (been great seeing as how it's cold here in Pittsburgh).

Thanks guys. Yeah, silverskoundrel after digging around for the past few days I found out my car was order with the "Silver Package" which is Remote Start with Keyless Entry. It's ok, except I need to figure out the correct program on the programming button. The interior courtesy lights don't go on when you unlock it, and they stay on for 2 minutes when you lock it. And the doors automatically lock when you put the key in the ignition.

Nope, there is a little black button under the dash connected to the remote module. Basically I have to play morse code to customize my settings. lol

Not really, that's the way Code Alarm (they made the kit for Ford) designed it.

The biggest problem though is that my system is now 2 models out of date. About 2007 they replaced this model with a newer model, and now Ford have done away with Code Alarm systems altogether in favor of a factory integrated system.
