Just bought Mustang #4

Last Saturday, I bought a new 2014 Mustang GT. I got the non-Premium model with the manual transmission because I've been waiting a long time for Ford come to its senses and give us our stripped-down hot rod without all the useless gadgets.

As the title says, this is #4 for me. I had a 1983 Mustang GT from 83-86, an 86 5.0 LX from 86-92, and a 92 5.0 LX from 92-96. When they did away with the V-8 powered LX model in 94, I gave up on Mustang until I was shopping for an F-150 earlier this year and decided to click on the Mustangs to see what they cost. When I discovered that you can get what is essentially the 5.0 LX again, the truck idea went out the window.

I love a simple car with a lot of power!

A friend of mine actually asked me if it has seatwarmers. I told him, "Yeah..my butt!"

Welcome to the forum. I too wanted a striped down model like the muscle cars of yester years. I'm a little disappointed you can't get one without a radio or ac.

I can live without radio, but I'm in Florida and my daily driver has to have A/C.

I hope it does too. What went wrong with your manual?
Fifth gear synchro went and I've been waiting over two months for them to fix it. My new transmission is suppose to be in next week : fingers crossed:

I like it. Its not my first Mustang, but it is my first with over 400 hp. Spent the morning applying a coat of Klasse to it. I want to make the raised portion of the hood flat black. I was thinking a vinyl decal, but a lot of people swear by PlastiDip. Any opinions on that?

If you are sure you want it go vinyl but if you just want to see use PlastiDip. Vinyl will look better

Its my first Mustang but the reason behind the purchase was the same. I wanted a no nonsense muscle car. IMHO can't be the base Mustang GT manual for that! Got my 2014 about a month ago. Welcome!

My 2014 GT is my first Mustang and I had the same idea as some of you. I got the base model except with the auto tranny.
