Hello from Ohio

This past summer I finally convinced my wife to let me buy a Mustang. I acquired a 90 4 cylinder LX right out of high school as a daily commuter when my 88 Cutlass 442 needed replaced. I drove that car until the transmission blew. I loved that car for the looks, but obviously in the engine area it had a lot missing. I had since got into Honda's for the reliability and great gas mileage, but again was missing performance. I spent all summer searching for another fox body, but this time I wanted a 5.0. People either wanted too much, or the cars needed a lot of work. I finally decided to just trade in my Civic & go with a new Mustang. With a little research, I realized a GT wasn't quite in the budget. My brother-in-law has a 86 & 95 GT. I asked him what he thought of the new 6 cylinders & was surprised he didn't make fun of me for looking into one. I found a 2013 v6 with the Performance & Tech Packages at my local dealership. On my day off I went to test drive it - the rest is history. I am impressed with the 305 hp, it's sure faster than any fox body I test drove over the summer, not to mention it still gets decent gas mileage. All in all, a great compromise & car that's fun to drive.

The only things I have done to the car so far is put on an Air Raid cold air intake & pony fender badges. I also have winter wheels & tires on the way to help get around in the snow. Any suggestions on mods are welcome.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi.

I am in Kent and I would look at going to a Tri State meet up. I belong to a Mustang club most of our members are from south of Cleveland. Now last year we had a Mustang verse Camaero cruise inn in Revenna. For the first time in 5 years of doing this the Camaeros won. So this year I am expecting all the local ME folks to join in and put a stop to the Camaeros.

I have the same one (from a different company, all they do is carve their name on it and charge more lol), it makes the car feel less restricted at WOT. It does hurt mpg, all things equal, but makes a cool sound from outside the car. Have started to notice it more, but I have heard it is pretty noticeable from outside the car. No one drives my car, so I couldn't say.

Usually a tune helps the performance of it and brings the fuel economy above what it would be no tune/no intake, occasionally people say FE is worse (but performance is still better).
