New from SD

Hey guys! Finally got my first Mustang! I've wanted one since I was 12! Found it a mile down the road on jack stands and the guy only wanted 400 bucks. It hit a curb and has a hole in the oil pan and some other damage but nothing I cant have fixed by spring. Its a 1998 Base model with a V6. My neighbor has a 4.6 out of a crown vic he is selling me for $100 to go in it so I'd say I'm off to a good start.

My goal with the car is to hit at least 600hp and I'm going to focus on handling just as much as power. (Any recommendations on brands for suspensions are greatly appreciated. Steeda? Eibach?)

I promise I wont ask any stupid questions without giving google a chance first haha and I don't have a ton of experience but I do have a little and hopefully I can help a few other fellow Ford drivers out along the way.

I also have a 1995 F150 and a 1997 F250 if anyone cares.

Welcome to ME. Where on SD are you, I'm right next door in central MN.

Sounds like you have a good start to a fun project. Your first "handling" mod should be to swap out the 1 wheel wonder with a 8.8 rear from a GT.

Good luck with your build.

Thanks guys, and Skulls, yes an 8.8 is on the wish list as well as plenty of other mods! I'm in Sioux Falls, where are you by? I lived in Wilmar for a few months a couple years ago.

Zhill, I'm in Little Falls. It's just south of Brainerd, if you've heard of it. People associate Brainerd with BIR/Brainerd International Raceway.

Again welcome.
