Hey all, new to the forum and new to owning a mustang!
I'm 20 years old and I just bought my first car. I am proud to have payed for it myself, and I think I got a really good deal.
I payed $12,500, negotiating down from $14k, for a torch red '05 GT. Its stick shift, its got only 67xxx miles and its in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition (I am no mechanical expert, far from it, but I have thoroughly inspected and tested it, and had a multi-point inspection done from the dealer)
I absolutely love the car! It has a lot of kick to it and handles suprisingly
well! I had the notion that mustang couldn't take turns, but this one easily does so long as the throttle isn't wide open. (got a killer aftermarket suspension IMO)
As for car care, I have changed my oil twice since I've gotten it and changed the accessory drive belt, as well as cabin and intake air filter.
I plan on taking very good care of this car and would like to see it reach 150k miles.
Let me know what you guys think! I wanna hear what you guys have to say about it!
As for the mods, its lowered on what I believe to be the Ford Racing suspension for the GT on AmericanMuscle. Its got the lowered springs, the larger aftermarket red sway bars, polyurethane bushings, and the tower strut bracing with the GT logo.
Car also has a cold air intake and Flowmaster exhaust (not sure if its just axle back or full system since I haven't been able to get it on a shop jack yet)
and a Hurst short shifter!
