Have been reading up on M.E. before you signed up? I rebuilt half my 96 GT since last Summer. All the know how came from this site. Now that Im satisfied with the outcome, I finally registered on M.E. 2 weeks ago. I feel right at home here. (2 years ago I looked into a Vette) those folks weren't my crowd. Lol

Actually I'm completely new to this site but from what I read it sounds like it's one of the best. I'm actually looking to upgrade to a gt my little 6 is not doing it for me anymore and I don't have the big bucks to put the power into it plus I want a v8.

I believe your trans is the same one used in the V8's. As long as you stay under 400rwhp I think. Double check that.

I heard 7.5 rears can endure mild power improvements. But you still need the LSD. Traction Lok is awesome. If you get a used rear make sure the LSD isn't worn. 2 wheel burnouts means it's working properly

So what are your plans? Are you looking for a used PI 2V engine or 4V? You can find a nice complete one with the wiring harness and ECU included.

Oh. Well thats why. Lol. Ill keep my eyes open for you. If you find one up north, hopefully someone put it in the garage 6 months a year. Be patient and one will pop up.without a roof that pops down.

Whatever you do, do not buy from this dealer! They tend to buy a lot of modified cars and proceed to sell them for ridiculous prices. I've got buddies with bad experiences from them.

This one looks pretty clean and is fairly local to me, though that price is ridiculous
