What are white hand painted numbers on engine block

Took my intake manifold off my 96 mustang gts/248A and seen white hand painted numbers on top of block any good ideas what they meanClick image for larger version

Maybe it's a used block? It coulda been catalogued at a used parts dealer or junkyard. That's just my guess.

I'm just curious cause I'm putting a pi intake on my npi heads and it already has the pi water pump nipple on it. So now I'm curious about the motor

Yea it looks like a catalog or inventory number from a junkyard or something
