Converted MS3 to 420hp

Hello all,

This is officially my first day of Mustang ownership. Picked up a 2014 Mustang GT last night. I'm coming from a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. I absolutely loved her, but was craving more.

The Mustang is brilliant. I look forward to learning about this platform and meeting the crew.

I was hesitant to purchase a this car as there are soooo many of them on the road. The Speed 3 was such a sleeper and the community is really tight knit. I'm hoping to find friends here too.

I have no immediate plans to modify, but that won't last long. Aiming for 6 months... If it is anything like the speed the mod bug grabs hard and shakes until I bleed from my ears.

I'm in Sacramento, CA.

Thanks,

G

Welcome man. There are allot on the road but thats just because they are awesome!! You will find lots of good people, ideas and information here. I did. Glad to hear you are already liking the new car. Like the Speed 3's but never drove one. The mod bug is big. Trust me lol, I have my next few stages planned already. Again welcome and enjoy!

Nice upgrade, I looked at the 2011/12 speed3 when I got my V6. Repeat after me "I'd rather be a Muscle Head than a Ricer"

If you are ever interested in car meets or shows there is a club 50Reasons that is an all Mustang club and they put a ton of events together throughout the year, the next one is actually at Sacramento Raceway next month.

Thanks for the heads up. The site for 50reasons seemed rather out of date, am I missing something?

Don't want to step on toes. Checked out the Sacramento Mustang Owners club, seemed to be an older group.

Cheers,

G

Congrats! You certainly did get more and a much better sounding engine to boot. There are a lot of 6 cylinder Mustangs around because they are nice cars, especially the new 3.7s. Even the older 4.0s are good cars with good engines. However, there aren't a lot of V8s around, especially with the Coyote engine, the best stock production engine ever made for the Mustang IMO.

welcome to ME!
Before I bought my mustang I drove a modified 2004 Acura TL, that too was a tight knit community but I haven't looked back since driving off the lot with 400+ horsepower.
congrats on the car, enjoy!
