New to the forum...

Good evening ladies and gents. Was just browsing through the site and decided to join. I bought 2014 oxford white mustang GT back in February and since then have added a few things. Looking forward to meeting some cool people, and learning more in depth about the car.

This is my second mustang to date. I had an 04 silver 5spd GT many moons ago. This is a 2014 base GT with added Recaros and 3.73's. Like I said I have a few things done. -MRT KR axle back -SR Performance LCA's/Panhard rod/strut tower brace -Roush splitter kit

Cheers,
Eric

Oops almost forgot I have a black billet industries grille insert hiding the fog lights. Looking to further the suspension next.

Nice car! Welcome to the site. I am a new member too. Just picked up my first mustang, a 2012 V6 convertible, about 3 months ago.

Thanks again fellas. That's cool. I'm working on the handling department as we speak but am having slight difficulties on deciding on a set up. Right now my thoughts are Koni str.t's SR performance springs, and GT500 strut mounts for added comfortability and performance. Anybody run this exact set up?

Beautiful car man! White is a great color for these GT's, and I'm all about the Recaro seats too. Congratulations.

These actually quite a few people running the exact suspension setup you mentioned above. In fact, I was recently talking to one of our customers with this setup on another forum last week. He road courses his 2013 GT and truly loves this suspension combo. Especially since there's no sacrifice in ride comfort!

What kind of driving will your Mustang see? Do you plan on seeing any road courses, autoX tracks, or even drag strips?

Shane

Thanks a lot Shane! Yeah I opted for the recaros over the brembos lol. I sat in them and fell in love. I've spent a pretty penny already with you guys on SR performance parts, and I read nothing but good things on the springs. Really wanted to hear some opinions. This car is my daily, but it will see some dragstrip. I'm actually going to Lebanon Valley Dragway in NY this Saturday. However, that being said, I want the car to handle good trough the twisties and not feel as "boaty."

I came from a 2011 WRX which handled "ok" in my opinion, so I go from that to this was a big change. A change I expected, but a change nonetheless. I want to clean it up, and soon.

I hear ya there man. The SR lowering springs will significantly change the amount of body roll you're experiencing now. I think you'll be very happy with them! However, if you're coming from a 2011 WRX and really enjoy the twisties, I highly suggest upgrading the factory struts/shocks too.

The factory dampeners perform well for a stock car, but there's still a lot to be desired as a road race car. You'll see significant changes in dampening with an upgraded set of struts/shocks. Especially when driving over rough back roads.

Keep this in mind before your install the SR springs. Since installing new struts/shocks will add no extra time if you're already installing lowering springs.

Oh I definitely plan on doing shocks/struts/strut mounts. Do it once and do it right.

Agreed! No reason to spend extra doing things twice. Which struts and shocks were you looking at btw? Let me know if you need any assistance finding the best dampeners for your budget and use.

I was looking at the Koni STR.T non-adjustable shocks/struts. Non-adjustable for both budget reasons, and the fact that it's a daily with limited dragging here and there. There will be no road courses or auto x. Just need something that is capable of withstanding a lower ride height from performance and longevity standpoints.

Tint looks good. Now you need to tint the inside of the taillights.

This is what i have on my car....Mustang Smoked Tail Light Tint Insert (2013-2014 All) - Premium Auto Styling

The Tint from AmericanMuscle is a much thicker film. I found these after I screwed up the AmericanMuscle Tint during install.

That looks pretty good man ^. I ordered the tints from AM but they ended up being too light and flimsy. Had my tint guy do it by hand

Okay. Ditch the stock 5.0 emblems and get some matte black ones for $14 a piece, just remove the adhesive with some fishing line. Get some
black rims, plastidip the GT emblem on the back black. Get a stubby short antenna. Just a few things I did to mine. Click image for larger version

Nice nice. Yeah I'll probably dip my emblems and I'm waiting for the RTR decklid to be back in stock to rid myself of the faux gas cap completely.
