Hello guys, I'm new to the Mustang and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Mike and I stay in the Augusta, GA area (2 hours from Atlanta GA area) and I am a proud owner of a 2010 Shelby Gt 500. Would like to go to meet and greets and looking to make new friends. I had a Grand National but it required to much maintenance so this is my new money pit.

Michael,

Welcome and congrats! That's a fantastic platform to start with! Don't hesitate to let me know if you're to have any questions or shoot me a PM and I'm here to help.

Care to elaborate what you're going to change first We're all pretty sick with the modding bug!

I want to do a pulley and tune combo, but I don't want to void the warranty. So I may just get some black rims instead? Does anyone know if ford voids warranties for pulley and tune combos.

Michael,

A Pulley and Tune yields some pretty explosive gains on the 10' GT500 but I would recommend starting with a CAI and Tuner Kit just to get a small taste of what's capable, and then shoot for the pulley.

Wheels and Tires are can definitely be a little challenging as I'm pretty partial to the OEM Gt500's but take a look around and let me know if you have any questions. We have a lot of really cool options available but be sure to keep an eye out on the fitment tab on the kit as some wheels will not clear the Brembos!

Regarding the warranty that's a great question and I would personally feel out your dealer to see how mod friendly they are. Some can be reluctant to touch a car that has any mods on them, even an axleback for example!

Let me know if you have any other questions at all and I'm here to help!

-Alex

well i spoke with one of the head mechanics this morning and he said he would help me out with install and not voiding my warranty. So whats the best site to buy a tune kit. It already has K &N CAI but i believe they did not tune it because exhaust tip look like it could be running a little rich. Thank everyone for all the advice and help.

Michael-I would definitely recommend getting that in writing if possible just to cover your bases and be on the safe side. Regarding the CAI K&N makes a pretty great kit and a lot of people like them because they've been in business for a long, they make a great product but I think This JLT Cold Air (and tuner) Kit would really wake the car up and make it even more scary!

The Bama tune is going to be unique to your GT500. When you're filling out your tune info we ask you 19 questions about your Mustang, including what's already installed as well as your driving style.

This information allows us to write a custom tune just for your GT500 to ensure we're getting you the best performance and power possible.

Our Tunes are developed in-house on our Dynojet 224xLC chassis Dyno. We've put in Hours of research and development on the street, ripping down the track, and on our dyno, testing/datalogging which left us with fully refined custom tunes. The Bama Performance team has exclusive access to our inventory of parts.

We also are part of Fords Technology Transfer Program & Work very closely with Ford to insure that all of our tunes are perfect!

Take a look at our Bolt On Build up 2010-2012 GT500 series to get a better idea of what's possible and let me know if you have any questions!

-Alex
