Greetings! I'm an old Mustang guy that's getting back into it. I started with Mustangs in 1986 when my then girlfriend, and now wife, had a 1983 GL with a six-cylinder. After getting married, we bought a red 1992 LX with the 5.0 with an automatic so she could drive it. After a year and a half of that (and her never driving it), we traded for a black 1993 GT with high-polished aluminum rims, out of the showroom of Burt Wolfe in Charleston. Sold that a few years later for an Explorer that could better handle the West Virginia winters.
This past summer, I wanted to get back in a Stang - something my son and I could work on. After searching the country, I found a cherry, one-owner 1990 LX convertible (5.0) just 20 miles from me. It was purchased brand new in 1990 by a 50 year old NASA engineer. Now, at the age of 74, he was ready to move on. He put about 3,000 miles a year on it during the summer months and then put it away in the garage when he went to Florida
in the winters. We bought it sight unseen and are now "cleaning" it up. It's almost 100% stock except for a set of 17x8/17x9 Pony rims, a new radiator and I'm doing new carpet right now. Keeping it stock and that's it's uniqueness.
