2015 GT convertible on order

I don't have my Mustang GT convertible, yet. Build date is the 24th of this month. I ordered the Ruby Red GT Premium, including the 50 year Appearance Package. I ordered every option except the lane departure nanny. The only downside, I ordered the GT with the automatic transmission. I figured the paddle shifters are all I will need for when I have it out for a real drive, and my wife will be able to drive it too. So that's my story. When the car is delivered I plan on replacing the exhaust with the CAT back Ford Racing Touring exhaust, install the Airaid cold intake, a strut brace, and hood struts. I won't make the changes right away, I might wait a day or two.

It's a convertible, doesn't it already come with the front strut brace? That has been standard on convertibles for the last several years.

The only time I saw the tower brace offered during the ordering process was if I added the Performance Package, and not with the 50 appearance package. I hope you're right! I haven't seen a 2015 convertible live.

Let us know. If it's not included that will be a first in years, but good for people to know ahead of time.

I think the 2015 is very beautiful in convertible form. If I were to have one, I would do convertible too

The convertible not only has the tower strut brace, it also has the K brace from strut to firewall to strut. That's one less piece I have to add!

Great! Glad to hear they didn't stop including them on the ragtops!

The rumble is louder with the convertible. I would recommend taking off the resonator, and putting on an X pipe first. The stock mufflers really open up. But the Borla is excellent as well. So enjoy!

Information regarding factory tonneau covers for 2015 convertible owners. Ford didn't have the covers immediately ready to ship with the vehicles but my Ford dealer had them waiting for me at the parts department. If you don't have them speak with the service manager or reach out to the parts department and search your vin. They look great!!! And worth the wait. Good luck. More pics to come Click image for larger version

Correction. Speak to sales manager not service. Or just call parts department

Hey, this weekend I switched out all the front markers, front turn signals, and all the interior lights to LED. I really like the look. Just thought I would share...

Only issue I have with the convertible is the antenna in the back, other than that it's a perfect car. I'm not the biggest fan of the paddle shifters I usually just turn traction control off and put it on sports mode.

I use the Chemical Guys vinyl and rubber cleaner/protectent. Very happy, and it's not greasy like Armorall. I will need to check on the top dressing thank's for the tip!

Also, check out CarPro's Reload. It's really amazing, so easy to apply.

I did as well! I also replaced all the interior and the front turn-signal with the led switchback bulbs.

Do you get the fast blinker flash on the dash but the bulb blinks normal?

Yes. But the blinker flash sounds kind of cool. Like a horse galloping.
