New Member 1995 Mustang GT 5.0
My name is Mike. First time owner of a Mustang and now that I think about it im also a Ford first time owner also. It's a sweet little car bought it from a friend. It was sitting for approx. 2 years. Surprisingly with the switch of a battery it started right up after the second try! It was humming at about 7 or 8 hundred RPMs. It was until I drove it home that my headache began. The car began to sputter and had no power while in gear, realistically I don't know how I made it home. The car continued to to sputter and bog out while driving but by pping excessively on the gas peddle it managed to barely stay on. The next day it wouldn't start. Not knowing about Mustangs I bought some starting fluid disconnected the intake hose sprayed and was able to start it again may stay on now once reaching a normal temperature but once it does it sputters like back fires up in the intake/throttle body. I replaced the PCM but no success it is still hard to maintain on and it definitely won't stay on if I reconnect the intake hose. HeLp!!! I'm open to all and any suggestions please. Also thank you in advance.
