Howdy - New Guy

Hello everyone!

Just purchased a "new to me" 2012 5.0 GT Premium, manual, in Race Red with the Brembo package. It's pervious owner kept it immaculate and it only has 13K miles on it - very pleased with the deal I got! I love the car so far. This is not my daily driver, it's simply a "toy" for my wife and I and it will be going to bed for the Michigan winters.

Mods: I couldn't believe how quiet the stock exhaust was, so the first mod I bought was the Roush axle back. I listened to dozens of sound clips of both the Roush and GT500 exhausts and had a tough time deciding which of the two to get. Unfortunately, after hearing the Roush in person, I wish I would have gone with the GT500, so I'm probably going to look to sell or trade the Roush. It just doesn't sound like I had hoped - too mush rasp under hard acceleration for my tastes.

The only other mod I've done, if even considered a mod, is a white cue ball style shift knob - which I love! I'm probably going to look into a custom tune and possibly a CAI maybe next year. My ultimate goal is forced induction, but convincing the wife that it is necessary is a whole other battle....

I have OCD when it comes to cars, so I've already washed it a couple times and put two coats of Zaino (great stuff) on it already even though I've only driven it maybe 100 miles since I got it.

I used to have a '04 GTO with a Magnacharger blower, LT headers, JBA catback, intake, and custom dyno tune, but sold it due to changing life circumstances. I loved that car and was sad to see it go, so I was pretty pumped that the wife allowed "us" to get another toy car

I'd love to see some pictures of the GTO, if you have any.

I'd really like to see pictures of your car as mine is pretty close only 14 TrakPak.........Race Red.
Just a word of advice, forget about getting a CAI. The tune makes the difference, you already have CAI that works great.
Like you, I looked at a lot of axle back exhaust and finely found a deal ;EXHAUST KIT QUAD TIP MGT 2013-14 .
Of course this is the 13/14 twin tip, but if you need to purchase any OE Ford Racing parts these people have great prices.
Send pictures when you can.
