Greetings from Sugar Land

Heyo!

From Sugar Land, just outside of Texas! I'm 19, turning 20 next month, and I own a 2016 Mustang GT (Automatic). Her name's Carlee, and I got her the previous year, August 16, 2016. I'll never forget that day, and I hope to keep her forever!
I got lots of plans for her, and I thought it's about time I joined this form. Saw it pop up here and there, so I figured, "why not?" She's currently stock, nothing done except for a red Howler badge in the front.

My main goal is to keep her N/A, while upgrade everything, and using her as a Track/Drag car while also being a daily driver. Bad idea? Probably. Let's see how it goes!

Auto? Stick? The auto will be much better for the 1/4 mile.

Full exhaust, Lund tune, 4.10 gears and shifter if you are stick, Circle D stall converter if you are auto and leave the stock 3.15 gears in there. Don't fall for the cold air/pullies BS mods, they don't do anything. Good tires and call it good. Car should run 11s and get 25mpg.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.

My bad, it's an auto! I'll edit it in.

And what are the cold air/pullies mods? Quite new to the aftermarket things & don't know much lingo.

One of the common aftermarket "mods" is to replace the stock airbox assembly with a "cold air" setup. This is a carryover from the early 90s when the stock airboxes sucked and ppl still fall for it to this day. Same thing with "underdrive pullies" which are theoretically supposed to free up power by slowing down how fast your accessories spin. In reality all it might do is cause alternator issues lol.

For your car... Kooks or ARH longtubes, matching mid pipe and a catback of your choice. Lund tune, suspension and a Circle D stall converter. Get a set of ET streets for track days. Car should turn 11s and get 25mpg.

Yeah! For the dragstrip the auto will do better! I have a 2016 Ecoboost 6spd and the best I could do in the 1/4 mile is 14.3ET! Everyone says I should be able to run High 13 at least, but I can't do it! It has to do with the powerband! I shift at redline and my stock turbo must be too small to shift at redline! I'll go to the track in January or February and practice there! Too much traffic to use Track Apps!

You got a beautiful color car by the way! The Sapphire Blue is stunning to look at! All you need now are some lighter aftermarket racing wheels and lower the car and it will look ridiculous! Here is my car! My wheels are true racing wheels and are extremely light weight! In person the white contrast gets thumbs up in traffic all the time!Click image for larger version
