Hello everyone

Well, I'll start off with the basics. I'm 18 from Kalispell, MT... chances are you've never heard of that Just starting to really get into cars, so I'm still learning about all the awesome things the Mustang has to offer. I have a '98 V6. Hoping to make it into a sneaky little monster. It just has some minor damage to one fender and, ahem, the side skirt (will post pictures later). Other than that, it's in pretty good shape for 176k mi.

While I'm at it, how do I find out if my rear end is 7.5" or 8.8"?

That's all I have for now, so talk to you all soon!

Re: Hello everyone

Welcome, you picked a good and overall reliable car. I have owned two v6's. One was a 97 and the other was an 01. Both were great cars and I never had any issues.

The great thing about the 3.8L V6 is that it is CHEAP and VERY easy to fix/work on so if you have issues you can do the work yourself 99% of the time and save a ton of money doing so...when you can buy a new engine for 300-500 dollars (new to you) thats not bad.

They also share nearly everything with the GT and Cobra versions so upgrades in body appearance and performance things are easily swapped over.

The BEST advise I can tell you is to simply RESEARCH your mods so you don't throw money out the window. Most dont have goals, they just do... and end up wasting money on mods they will have to redo/replace.

Also learn the line between looking good and going overboard if you are into appearance, some just keep adding **** like the more you have the better it looks or something.
