Re: new to the site and mustangs

(the day after i bought it)

been driving all around town for kicks and giggles, there are a lot of mustangs around here.

the site has been pretty helpful and i found it just this morning. looks like i have a lot of reading up to do. i used to only drive a 96 protege and new everything about that, now i'm in an entirely new world.

not sure exactly what i wanna do with it yet, i have a friend that keeps telling me gears, but i'm not sure i wanna go that route.

Its extremely clean in and out so i don't really want to do anything to it interior/exterior wise, i was mostly thinking headers, h-pipe, pulley kit and the tune up (still trying to get money outa the wifey).

you guys have any ideas? i'm sure you do, lets hear em.

EDIT: been thinking on gears more and more, not sure i want to take the leap to 3.73's like my friend is suggesting, the car does it drivin daily and in the winter it rains, and i don't have any traction as it is. i'm wondering if 3.55 would be a good compromise?

Re: new to the site and mustangs

dont fear the gear lol. 3.73's will really shine in that car.

Re: new to the site and mustangs

i may have forgotten to mention i'm going to autox (well soloII, some people get mad at me if i call it autox :S) it... i did about half a year in my 96 pro and i bought this so i'm going to take it out this season, going for the street prepared (mostly cause of my exhaust) i'm not really looking to be competitive, just go fast, i won't have money for new rims or tires but i might have up to about 500 bucks or so to throw at it if you guys have suggestions regarding that...

right now finding a job is a priority over parts so ill just gather a bunch of ideas and see which direction i wanna take the car.
