Well research it. I don't personally have one on my car, but I've changed a few UDP's and it's not that much to them...

A word of caution: The chip may need a reburn if the computer code listed (from my car) is different than the code on your eec. You can look and see what yours is first. To find it you can take off the kick panel on the passenger side, that's where your eec is. There is a four digit code marked on the EEC.

Chips usually help autos a lot more because you can program them to change the shift points. For a reburn I would call around to dyno tune centers or look on the internet and ask if they can do a burn for a diablo sport with your EEC code. Even some non Diablo centers can do it (like SCT) if they have the right software. You might call around to find the right place.

As for the UDPs, they aren't too hard to change, the Alt is a bit harder because the pulley has a tendency to turn while you are trying to turn the bolt. Just leave the belt on it for tension, that shoud do the trick. I felt the UDP were definitely worth having. I could 'feel' the difference, definitely more than CAI but you should get more opinions not just mine.

BTW, I paid something like $275 for that chip just over a year ago. My problem is because of where I live and the fact I need a dynotune in person, I can't use it. The only dyno tune location within hours can't do the flash. If I just needed a mail order flash (non blown, less mods) I would keep it.

I'll be honest, I have no idea. Can someone else with experience give an estimate? I would call around or check out some websites.

The chip will probably work on a 99-04, but would most likely need reburned.

Thinking outloud: I wonder what the difference on a densecharger between a 94-98 and a 99-04 are?

The bends of the 94-98 and the 99+ are different. The 94-98 does not come in full length only in meter forward and the 99+ comes in meter forward or full length.

Here is a pic of the cats, they are 2.25" inside diameter.

If you are not going to follow through DO NOT SAY YOU'LL take it.

Here is the pic that was requested. If you want something or have a question, post it here. If you don't intend on taking the item, do not say you'll take it.

The chip will work on a 99 but please call a tuner to find out what it will take to get it tuned.
