polishing satin powerdyne

Well im going to have some spare time before my brackets and other misc. parts come in for my powerdyne s/c project. the actual blower should come next week but it is a satin blower, has anyone polished these up before or have any idea how easy it is to go about polishing them?

Mines satin and it looks like after you sand it smooth if won't be to bad, just time consuming

polishing is a very long very very long process at least for it to come out with a good quality.

If you've never done any polishing work before, I can pretty much tell you right now that a blower is not the first job you want to do. It'll take forever. Start on something smaller until you get the technique down (and realize how much work is involved).

^ flat stuff is a good place to start as well.

Yes it is very time consuming and a pain in the arse. Took me about a month to polish my last blower and about 100 sanding wheels, an crapload of hand sanding in the cracks and 20 buffing wheels and by the time I was done I had no fingerprints left......
