The mechanic that installed my gears used the 75w 140. He says not to use the 75 w 90 for gear install. It only takes two quarts of oil and 4 oz of the friction modifier. I'm no mechanic but no whine in my gears so he most of done something right. Lol

I bought the gears,
Install kit
Pinion and bearing kit
Two quarts of royal purple 75w 140
Motorcraft friction modifier.
The ford racing friction modifier is the same exact stuff as the motorcraft, just FYI.

That's all you need. my car only had 20k miles but I wanted all new while I was getting the gears. Any thoughts on what I am do with my used 2:73 gears? Lol

My car has 1700 miles. Do I need the new bearing or just the install kit?

Most likely not with that low low low mileage. That's supper low I would think all you need would be

3:73 gears or what ever gears you want
Install an bearing kit
Two quarts of ROYAL PURPLE 75 W 140, not not not 75 W 90
One 4 oz bottle of friction modifier

Your good to go bro. I see you have a 5.0. Go for the 3:73 gears. Your car will be freaking explosive with that gear.

Royal Purple has the friction modifier included. Are you recommending additional?

Yes sir. True the royal purple does have a friction modifier additive but remember to get the ford racing or motorcraft friction modifier 4 oz bottle. At the time American muscle was out of their friction modifier and I ordered it online for 7 dollars and free shipping. It was like at CJ PONY out of Pa. It was the Ford racing Friction modifier. Actually, the bottle came one day late so I just bought another bottle of the friction modifier at western auto. I have the bottle of ford racing friction modifier and don't need it now. If you want the bottle , you can have it. Just pm me and give me your address or where you want me to mail the bottle out. You can have it at no charge. I already had my gears installed yesterday and don't need that extra bottle. It's not even opened, sealed and all bro.

If you still have this on Friday I will be interested. As long as the total price is no more than $120 shipped. What payment method are you looking for?
