Caution to those who buy from Untamed5.0, if you receive your part damaged from improper shipping you will not get a refund from him. I am currently in litigation with paypal,(claim submitted). I'm sure the Raxiom tail lights were in good shape before he shipped them to me as evident in the advertisement picture, but when I received the box, the lights were below all the packing in the cardboard box and were moving around freely in the box. Scratching each other, this was probably done by the 3 metal studs on the back of the light fixture that hold the light in place. He claims I should have purchased shipping insurance on the box as well. Even if I did, insurance does not cover items damaged due to improperly packaged items. I just want a refund and I will return the lights to you Mr. Vincent.

here is what he had in the ad:

and here is how I got them:

well I would be pretty ticked also, including the fact he did not get a refund right away. American muscle wouldn't ship products out like that neither should we.

The picture of the tail lamps before packaging is how they looked when they were shipped. They were packed correctly and as far as my end of the deal goes, it was fulfilled completely. That is unfortunate that you are unhappy with the tail lamps but there is no way to tell if they were damaged during shipping or after the fact. Leaving negative feedback on here isn't going to help this situation. If you don't like the tail lamps you can sell them or do with them what you see fit.

It may not help me, paypal will decide that, but it will help others know what they are getting into with you.

There is a way to tell that they were damaged due to poor packaging. They were sitting at the bottom of the box under all the packing material when I opened the box. Had you taped the lights up in the packing material you shipped it in they would have been fine. Just loosely wrapping them was not enough, and in the end they were free to move around at the bottom of the box not wrapped up.

So your saying that I scratched the tail lamps? Why would I do that? I want the set, I am now going to buy a new set from a vendor because of this. Same ones, tinted. Why would I scratch the lights I wanted?

I received my Boss 302 intake manifold yesterday via UPS. When the gentleman came to the door to deliver, the condition of the box immediately gave me pause. The tape keeping the top closed had come loose on one side, leaving packing material inside exposed. I pulled it open and made a good once over on the article in question. It was oily and pretty dirty, but then again, it wasn't advertised as being clean. Upon reading this issue on the tail lights, I decided to give it a closer inspection to check for cracks or other damage. I cannot seem to find any. Other than oil and dirt, it appears to be in good shape and I am satisfied. Untamed5.0/Chuck did a decent job with packing material (paper and foam) but could have done a better job securing the box its self. The be result is a product that I got at a great price that I will be able to use, I believe. The oil on the throttle body inlet and the bottom runners concerns me, but I believe it will be okay. There was oil at the bottom of the box, but little.

Im not going to argue with you about this. I didn't say you scratched them. I said there is no proof what caused the scratching after they were packaged. Paypal will decide what is best in this situation.

Is there any way you can guage the depth of the scratches on the lenses? Raxiom uses black paint, clear and a lot of thinner to achieve that smoked look so that means that smoked appearance is painted on. You might be able to polish off some of those scratches with some plasti-x or other kind of polish. It surely doesn't hurt to try. If the scratches are deep(say deep enough to catch a finger nail in) then the lenses are ruined.

95% the scratches are beyond superficial. I am not going to touch the lights until paypal does it's thing.

Mr. Vincent, I agree since you refuse refund, paypal will be the deciding factor. But your in agreement that the damage happened to the lights happened during shipment. Which tells me that you improperly packaged the lights, as the shipping box was not damaged in shipment. Just the contents. Which doesn't make the shipping company liable for your improper packaging.

Mr. Vincent, How would you feel if you received parts that were damaged due to poor packaging from another forum member? That's all I will say.

Ever think maybe he packed then right and then ups did something like drop it and tape came undone or something to that effect?

Seller should accept responsibility, at the very least to salvage his rep on here. Seems sketchy to me. I won't ever buy from him. He may not have thought taping was necessary, but since damage happened he should be willing to make right. Where are the moderators?

I understand what ur saying I think the seller may have been at fault but the mods have nothing to do with this. Now its simply up to Paypal they have no control since one buyer has said he received his product in working order, it was dirty but not damaged and can be installed on his vehicle.

I would make a claim with my bank instead of PayPal and ship the item back and call it a day.
