Thumbs up Mustang decklid panel

Hello, I am looking for a 2013-14 OEM decklid panel. I would prefer OEM but am also open to aftermarket ones as well. Please upload a photo on here or through PM if looking to sell one. Thank you!

I have been thinking about replacing mine with one for American Muscle. Do you need just the panel or do you also need the fake gas cap? I ask, because with the kit I want, I will need to keep the cap...How soon do you need the decklid? It will probably be a couple of weeks before I order...

There is no rush, just been trying to find one. I have a 2012 gt, would i be able to use the fake gas cap that is on mine right now? If not i dont think it would be a big deal.

Mustang decklid panel

the OEM 2013-2014 decklid panels won't work on your 2012. I took mine off (2014 model) to put an aftermarket decklid panel on and it is clipped on. It's not a smooth surface in the back that you can simply tape.

You would definitely have to modify (if it's even possible. maybe break off all the clips or something) to make it fit your car.

I'd suggest finding an aftermarket one that you like.

Edit: here's the back of my stock one. I'm not sure if that whole plastic backing is remove able or not. It seems pretty well attached.

(Making a second reply with pic. Won't let me add one through edit on the app)

Thanks for the info, from what i have read is that the tabs need to be broken off of the panel in order to be able to stick in on the 12 model........ i noticed you hought the rtr panel. Good choice! Btw since on the subject, are you looking to sell your old panel? Lol

Not really selling. Tend to keep all my OEM parts just in case. Plus, I don't think it would fetch enough that it'd be worth selling.

Was just giving you some info in case you weren't aware! Good luck with your shopping.

Yes it does. I did plastidip the crome surround but I can peel that before I send it. I would trade too if you have anything after market I would be interested in but I know thats probably not the case lol. I will try to get a postage quote as well. I will weigh and measure it tonight. I have the box my RTR can in I believe which will be perfect to ship it in.

That would be great! Just let me know the shipping costs. Just wamna verify, is the piece in good condition? No scratches ar blemishes? Also you can leave the plastidip, mine is currently dipped too so no biggie. As far as aftermarket parts, anything i have is already on the car

If it doesn't work out I'm in Houston. I'll be pulling mine off on Monday.
