The ring and pinion were removed after 12k miles when I had my rear end rebuilt by an independent expert to correct ongoing problems following warranty service. I had bought new gears because I had assumed these (which were dealer installed under warranty) were messed up. However, my mechanic thought they were in good shape enough shape to re-use, but I opted for the new gears I had purchased. As you can see from the pics (sorry for the dust), there are no signs of abnormal wear. However, because they came from an incorrectly serviced rear end, I can't guarantee that they'll be silent.
I'm not trying to make a ton of money here, just enough to cover shipping/delivery, my time, and a frosty beverage or two, so I can feel like I've recovered some of the cash I'm out for the rebuild. The regional CSM got me some money back, but not all of it.
Let's set the price at $45 plus at-cost shipping. If you're local (Boston Metrowest to Providence) and we meet up, shipping would be $0.
