Absolutely insane. I have an adapter to mate a Continental block to a Mustang trans. $200 for that whole engine, $250 for the intake and figure another $500 for front cover/accessories and Mustang specific stuff. And all that I wound up getting for free selling off parts from other motors I pulled some of those parts off of.
You can get any competent machine shop to make you a bell adapter.
