Safe to drive short distance??

Car is going thursday to be tuned. Hopefully this weekend will be putting the procharger to the paces FINALLY after 2 long months! But my problem right now is that I need to get my offroad H pipe put on before the tuning. I dont wanna take a chance on waiting to do it at the dyno shop in case they dont have a lift..sooo Im wondering if it would be safe to drive the car about 15 minutes from here to the exhaust shop to have the pipe put on. Car is running a little off due to having to pull a piece of the pipe under/behind the bumper to get enough air to the car. Basically the blower is disengaged with the belt off of it. Procharger *said* it would be fine...but Im a bit iffy... what do you guys think? Think it should be safe short distance? Oh yeah this is on a 08 GT by the way.

just don't get on it if your worried about cops giving you an exhaust ticket but i know a guy that had a foxbody and put on new headers and drove it around for a lil while and it was just loud as hell didn't hurt anything tho

Re: Safe to drive short distance??

Not worried about cops and the exhaust.. heck I drove my old 02 with straight headers for 2 months.

Im worried about any damage to my car..driving it while its not tuned for the procharger yet and it running lean because of the place it will be getting air from isnt where it should be yet.

as long as you dont make boost im sure it wont hurt anything to drive it a little bit. Most good dyno places will have a hand held and a base tune to limp you there then they can fine tune the car.

Re: Safe to drive short distance??

nope no trailer. Drove it to the exhaust shop and had the H pipe and axle backs put back on and maan does it sound good! Very deep.. probably the best sound next to my old 03 cobra. The car ran fine there it just trys to stall out when you stop..just had to put it in nuetral.
