Trunk Button?!

Is there a button inside the car anywhere that pops the trunk? My 2004 V6 had one in the glove compartment but I cant find one of my 2006 GT and its real annoying to turn off the car everytime I just want to put something in the trunk since my key doesnt have a trunk popping button either.

Re: Trunk Button?!

I noticed this on the first S197 I drove...never did figure out why Ford did away with it.

Re: Trunk Button?!

I had a hell of a time folding down the back seats in one, totally don't like it. On a side note, I was able to fit a Termi gas tank in the trunk of an S197! You can't put anything in an SN-95 trunk.

Re: Trunk Button?!

Just as a note - the 2010 has a trunk pop button on the inside to the L of the shifter.

Re: Trunk Button?!

someone at the show this weekend locked their keys in the trunk of their 08 convertible... and guess what no way to get them even with the car unlocked... they had to go home and pick up the spare set.

I was guessing that would be one of the changes to the new body style

one of the first things you learn not to do is set the keys down inside the trunk

Re: Trunk Button?!

That's from the-"don't let this happen to you" section-and to have a flat, 'valet' style key in a magnetized key box-stashed-problem solved. Get the valet key out, unlock thr trunk. And I still think they should have left the trunk button and I.R.S.-as well...
