Re: Modding an 08

As I watched my tech -and I promise he always makes it look easy + it always helps to have an electric lift.. I attempted the install in the driveway on my back-SHEESH-him, on his lift-child's play. Probably 10 minutes..

Re: Modding an 08

Yeah he has a lift. He's a huge gearhead with all types of vehicles. If it's got an engine, he probably knows everything about it.

Re: Modding an 08

it is, but if your state only plugs into the car for an emmisions test and doesn't do a visual inspection you'll be ok.

Re: Modding an 08

I personally think that was wise-not doing it in the driveway-I attempted it. I was "Mr. do it in the driveway guy" too-until I ran into difficulties. SpectorV-easier to do the SN95, yourself-IMHO-than the S197 -based on owning 4 SN95 cars, prior to the`08. .
It was childs play on a lift-(and this is the trick I did not know..)-especially when you go axle forward-and loosen up the connection between the H-pipe and the tailpipe. This creates just enough additional space to fairly easily remove/replace the stock mufflers-with one's choice of performance mufflers. :burnout:

Re: Modding an 08

05+ cars are super easy, you can reach all you need from the back of the car, its right there in front of you. My friend did it in about an hour or less.

Well I'm about to put a PA in it haha just for the hell of it because it was cheap and easy to install.

You might know of the other thread I started about a new shifter.. that'll be next if I decide to do it.

C&L cai all the way and a sctx3 with 93 race tune from bama. LTs with that combo are a huge difference.
