Vapor silver owners!!

I'm gettin' new wheels this xmas because I hate the tiny stockers. I was wondering what black would look like on the color but I can't find any pics of it..

If you guys have black rims.. or just aftermarket wheels for that matter.. on a vapor silver mustang then please post your pics or I can just go to your personal page and see it.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

black and silver will look great together... though some extra black accent parts would help. I realize my car is blue, but I did something similar...

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Try browsing American Muscle and their pictures. For instance I chose my favorite style (Black Bullitts if you couldn't guess ), size 18" and found this PICTURE. I'm sure you can look at 17's or 20's to get a feel on color match, but not the size.

on an 05+ 18s are really the limit in how small to go, and 20s are the limit in how big to go lol.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Check my signature- Vapor-the real deal I actually did a lot of online research, first-before I went with 18" wheels. (I'm the guy that rotates his tires, too-so you wouldn't find a wider wheel on the back of one of my cars, either.)
I also found the owner pictures on American Muscle to be very helpful. I always look at everybody else's ride-and when I thought that I had what would be the best look for me-I ordered my wheels, and am still satisfied! Just be aware-you may find up to a 50.00 + disparity on wheel prices, same wheel-shop til' you drop.. :burnout:

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

black and silver are gonna look nice. i wouldnt go any bigger then 18 either, 18s look sweet. you could always get a CDC chin spoiler in black color to help accent the rims. also if the car is tinted that helps alot.
perphaps a CS style rear bumer that has the black difuser on it? thats a little pricey depending on who and where you get it from.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Here's my Vapor Metallic 'Stang with 18x9 front and 18x10 rear Godspeed Omegas. Mine are all chrome; I'll find a pic of their machined with black trim wheels. I'm not a fan of black wheels, but the machined/black Godspeeds look real nice.

As promised, the machined/black Godspeeds. Bought mine with tires from Cruizin Concepts; they have pretty good deals.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Thanks for the replies.

I was mainly just wondering what black would look like on my color and I do agree it would look good but I'm leaning more towards chrome right now.
these to be exact: Chrome Mustang Saleen Wheel - 2005+ (18x9) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I hadn't considered the tire rotation.. I do that as well.. I assume that would cause some problems if I got em staggered..

I had liked the look of the 2010 GT500 machined wheels because I thought it'd go well with the vapor silver but after seeing the pic of the red mustang on americanmuscle I don't like those wheels so much.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

If you decided to go with the wheels-the chrome wheels-that would be great. They look nice-and would really "spruce" up your ride..

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

I'm not a fan of black rims, but on the silver cars, they look decent. You should take a good look at metallicmist's rims, and the link to the other ones he sent you. I've seen his car.....those rims are HOT!

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

I agree with jimmy_beaner and those other guys about accenting the car if you decide on black rims. Slight accents such as a black gas cap, dark smoked headlights/tails/fogs and tinted windows, maybe some black decal accents like the mach 1 hood stripe on the 99-04's.

That's for black, chrome just look too good and don't need accents, they pull it off lol.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Yeah I'm definitely going with chrome now.. I don't have any nor will have many black accents on my car. I don't want pin stripes or a black fuel door and I'm about to make my turn signals clear so chrome makes more sense.

Thanks all

Metallic Mist -

I like those wheels but honestly not a huge fan of the deep dish style.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Yah I like the hypercoated/gunmetal wheels. They are like shiny anthracite rims. I always thought the GT4 hypercoated wheels looked good on the S197's.

Re: Vapor silver owners!!

Bear, that's quite alright. The Godspeeds are indeed deep dish...3.5" up front, and 5" in the rear. Black chrome isn't quite the same as gunmetal or anthracite. It's hard to describe, but the black chrome wheels have a liquid look to them. Go to Mustang Wheels Rims and Parts at CruizinConcepts.Com and take a look at the wheels there. Lots of styles, and good pictures of the differences in finishes.

Metallic - Yeah I knew there was a bit of a difference. I'm definitely going to check out the color in person before buying anything.

Ya...we're getting a little busy also. With me being the newest guy, I'm stuck closing ALL week, since I still don't get holiday pay! grrr
Speaking of the plant, I have an app put in, and a buddy there that's trying to get it pushed thru....but you know how slow Farley moves! lol

Good deal, Bear. I'm not trying to push the site that I bought my wheels/tires from; they just have very good pictures, and who knows, you might like their package deals, too.

They are nice wheels. My opinion, of course. Take your time, decide on what YOU want, and while it's okay to consider what everyone here is telling you, it's ultimately YOUR car, YOUR money, and YOUR decision to make.

yeah I agree that looks good but I don't have any other black accents on my car and don't plan on adding any.. I think chrome would be better and all since I'm gonna eventually get clear signals.
