Possible to replace dead "fob" battery?

One of my "fob" keyless entry gizmos has a dead battery. I'm thinking the one that works is probably near dead. Is it possible to take out the small screw, open up the fob and replace the battery?

I've heard that replacements are very expensive.

Factory or aftermarket? Either way you will be able to replace the battery. I don't know how the new key fobs look but my fob just needs a tiny flathead to separate the halves. Takes less than a minute to do.

Thanks to all. It's the factory fob. I also have a honda fob that is dead. It is the one with the small screw. Good to know it's probably just a battery change. Have never been faced with this problem before.

Not hard at all to do, carry the battery to a battery store and you'll get it for much cheaper than anywhere else.
