Looks good man, a drop can make all the difference.

What springs did you use?

Re: Before and after

What do you think about a 285/40/18 on the rear? I was looking at a GT500KR that had the same tire and it looks like a good fit for me even with the 1.5 drop.

Re: Before and after

285/40/18, sounds like a 10" wide rim...should be fine...I don't know too much about wheels and tires. As far as the drop, it shouldn't hurt anything...maybe watch the tire and the fender over bumps and rough roads, may have to get them rolled to prevent wear and damage to the tires...again, I'm just guesstimating...

Re: Before and after

A 295/35/18 may also be a good fitment for a 18x10 wheel.

Re: Before and after

Yah I'd say a 295/35/18 tire would fit good on a 18x10 rim on the rears. That'll give you that staggered look when you go 18x9 in front.

Re: Before and after

That looks really good. I have 1.5" drop springs on the way just for the rear. I can't lower my front any more and still get down my driveway.

Re: Before and after

I agree- +1, for it "looked fine" before.
I had the same 17" wheels on my car-when I bought it-and adding the current 18s, took up that little bit of a gap-in the wheel opening. `Has a real nice stance, now. I trust that you didn't sacrifice any of your ride quality?

Get some smoked (or DYI) front and rear side markers and a rear deck black out and it will look sick! The wheels look great! Im loving the black and red combo.

Re: Before and after

Do those markers yourself and save a little money.I did my own, check my 7am pics album for a closer look. But if you are going to do the tailights I would suggest buying those from A.M. or somewhere else.

What do you guys think about side scoops and a chin spoiler? I was also thinking about the Shelby Cs6 bumper cover.

Re: Before and after

Wheels are from Replica wheels here in Katy Tx , 18x10 and 18x9. Tires are Sumitomos 275/40/18 and 245/45/18. Only paid $430 for the rims and got the tires for a good price on sale. Tires are not the size I wanted but they fit my budget for now. Maybe 285/40/18 and 255/45/18 when I can afford them.

Re: Before and after

The tires and wheels really look great. Do they rub at all anywhere, especially under suspension compression?

And I don't know how hard you romp on your mustang, but have you stomped on it hard enough to be able to tell whether the 285s hook up any better than your old tires? (235s?)

Re: Before and after

The tires are 275/40/18 and 245/45/18, They don't rub any where under suspension compression or hard accelleration. They do hook up much better than the stock tires , the only problem is the gaps over the tires. I was on a budget and these tires were a steal so I got them for now. All the Roush mustangs that I have seen have 275/40/18 so I thought it would be a good fit. I will switch to 285/40's and 255/45 later. Scott2 The rims are Saleen S type replicas.
